Pathology South provides a comprehensive service to meet the requirements of both the community and the Royal Hobart Hospital.

The testing laboratory is located on the first floor of the Royal Hobart Hospital which ensures that diagnostic services are provided to the requesting Medical Practitioner in a timely manner.

We are the Tasmanian referral centre for molecular biology, cytogenetics, renal biopsies, electron microscopy, immunophenotyping, stem cell transplantation and many specialised microbiological, chemical, haematological and endocrine tests.
